Who We Are

Shri Gurudatt Sugars Ltd. (SGSL) was incorporated on 12th Jan 2000 under the liberalized policy of the Govt. of India by late Bhagwanraoji Ghatge at a strategic location of Takaliwadi village in Kolhapur district. It was founded with the main objective of engaging in the business of Sugar & allied products like Power Generation, Molasses, Bio Fertilizers, etc. The Factory is located in a cane rich belt area where Krishna & Dudhganga Rivers flow 4kms from the factory. The Karnataka boundary is just 5kms away, as a result factory has access to sugar cane from Maharashtra & Karnataka border villages which had been neglected for serval years.

The complex made its beginning as a 2500 TCD sugar mill, which commenced production during the season 2004-05. Now SGSL has completed, 13 crushing season successfully. Today with the help of modern technology our capacity has expanded to 6000 TCD per day & also capacity of power plant is expanded to 21MW.
